Cappagh 2-09 Milltown 1-10
Huge Congratulations to our Joe Mallon Motors sponsored Senior Reserve Footballers who dug deep after a pulsating 60 minutes of football to grab the winning goal in injury time to earn a deserved league final victory against a strong Milltown side.
Our Cappagh lads went through the competition unbeaten, but that 100% record was in jeopardy when Milltown hit a late goal to take the lead with only minutes left on the clock. But then Iarla Nolan won a late turnover deep in Milltown territory and fed Caomh McAuley who blasted to the net to secure a first reserve football league title for the club.
Captain Eoin Barclay lifted the cup to the delight of the large group of Cappagh supporters who made the journey to Hawkfield.
Well done to the panel of players
