According to many of her younger team mates she is the teams’ craic merchant in chief and the toughest player to mark in training! The Intermediate Camogie Captain for 2022 is Caroline Forde!
Name: Caroline Forde
Favourite Position: Centre forward
Biggest Achievement in life or sport: In sport winning the Junior All Ireland camogie final in 2013 with the Kildare team and my Cappagh team mates Hazel Mulligan, Reg the Ledge Gorman and Orla Bambury
Favourite Camogie Player: Denise Gaule
Biggest messer on the team: Convoy, our club unicorn
Favourite Camogie memory:Theres an awful lot in the memory bank but the Leinster quarter final win over Kiltale in 2019 in Cappagh was a great team performance that warms my heart when I think of it
Toughest player to mark in training: Absolutely none of these women let ya away with anything easy! G Noone will chase ya down like a spaniel, Ciara Neville has a paw and strength that is hard bet and Caoilinn O’Leary is a force to be reckoned with.
If you could attend any sporting event in the world what would it be: Would love to see the 100m sprint finals at the Olympics
Favourite sport apart from Camogie: Running or CrossFit
What’s your favourite thing about playing on the Cappagh intermediate team: The craic and having an extended family. These women are there for each other through good times and the bad.
