Cappagh 5 12 Abbey Rangers 5-09

Our u17 boys made it 3 wins out of 4 when coming out on top by 3 points against the Ballykelly/Kildangan amalgamation in Tadg Downey Park in an exciting high scoring game on Wednesday night. The lads are making a good habit of grinding out narrow wins following a 3 point win at home to Athgarvan and a 1 point win away to O'Tooles and now sit on top of the Division 4 table.

The team are backboned by the lads of age (u17s) who have been together now since under 7s , and crucially receiving great back up from the u16s and also the under 15 lads who have stepped up to the mark and are holding their own at this level.

The lads performances to date is all the more commendable as they have been with out Glen Carter for these games due to his involvement with the county minors, and have shown that there are lots more talented players in this Cappagh squad. The lads wish Glen and the Kildare minors the very best of luck in the Leinster championship on Saturday v Offaly

Best of luck to our u17s and their mentors in the rest of the league campaign. Keep an eye out for fixtures and come along and support them if you can.
